The Alert-iT Companion Mini is our user-friendly epilepsy alarm designed to be discreet. The Companion Mini is able to identify tonic-clonic seizure-induced movements whilst ignoring sleep activities. If a potential seizure is detected The Companion Mini will activate an alert via the included radio pager, which has a 450m range. It’s completely wireless and can be easily moved to take with you for nights away or on holiday.

Positioning and Testing

 
The Companion Mini is easy to install and very simple to test.

The device performs best if placed under the mattress, beneath the patients torso area. Due to the wide variety of bed types and mattresses, it is advisable to test the device as per the instructions below:

1. Place the device under the mattress on the base of the bed frame, in the centre, underneath the torso area.
2. Test the device operation by simulating the movement that needs to be detected.

*To improve alarm detection or to reduce false alarms, the Companion Mini’s alarm parameters can be adjusted using the Alert-iT Profile Editor software which is available to download for free from the Alert-iT support page.

What is the range of the Plesio pager?

The Plesio pager has a range of up to up to 450 meters from the bed sensor.

What is the charging time and battery length of the pager?

It takes 12 hours to charge the Plesio pager and it has a battery life of 80 hours.

What is the battery time for the Companion Mini?

The mini will last 12 months between charges.

How will this be shipped to me?

Your order will be dispatched to you via Special Delivery and a signature will be required. Royal Mail will email you with updates on your delivery, so you can track its whereabouts and when you should expect it to be delivered.
