Epi-Care is an advanced wrist-worn epilepsy sensor specifically designed to accurately detect tonic-clonic seizures. It has a discreet and modern design, which is unobtrusive for the user.
The lightweight sensor can be worn 24 hours a day and only needs an hour to charge. It uses advanced sensors, including a 3-axis accelerometer to pick up seizure movements and a gyroscope that helps tell the difference between a seizure and normal activity.
Epi‑Care offers reliable protection and peace of mind when it matters most.
With this option, the Epi-Care device wirelessly connects to the paired smartphone (included) via Bluetooth and sends data to the Epi-Care epilepsy app that comes pre-installed.
The app can then be set up to send alerts to any other mobile phone(s) which may not be close by. This means you can wear the alarm wherever you go.
The included handset must be within a range of
10-15m (30-50ft.) from the Epi-Care epilepsy alert bracelet for it to work effectively.
If you choose the mobile package, we include a Motorola E6s smartphone with your epilepsy device which comes pre-installed with the Epi-Care epilepsy app and is already paired to your Epi-Care wrist sensor, ready to use.
This device cannot be used as a regular phone. All features (including calls, texts, web browsing, apps etc) are restricted.
*Please note: The smartphone requires a SIM card. This is not supplied and must be purchased separately.
The Epi-Care system is an advanced epilepsy monitoring and alert system designed to help individuals manage their condition effectively.
It combines wearable devices, mobile apps, and cloud-based monitoring to provide comprehensive seizure detection, data analysis, and caregiver notification.
The advanced 3-axis accelerometer can detect convulsions and vibrations that occur during seizures. The intelligent gyroscope within the wristband can differentiate between a seizure and the movement of everyday activities.
The battery on the bracelet can last up to 24 hours and takes 1 hour to charge. After an estimated 2 years use, the sensor battery will not be able to accumulate power for 24 hours of use from each charge. The sensor battery can be replaced.
Remember to keep the included smartphone charged as well. There is no guarantee that the smartphone battery can run an entire day of one charge.
The Epi-Care will detect tonic clonic seizures via its 3-dimensional accelerometer.
The sensor has a level of waterproof protection (IP37), meaning users can wear it whenever they wash hands or take a shower.
The Epi-Care sensor must be within 10-15 metres of the included smartphone.
The Epi-Care sensor will send an alert via your Epi-Care app as well as informing you if the battery is low or the signal is interrupted.
The app logs each incident allowing you to keep a seizure journal and easily share this with doctors or physicians.
Your order will be dispatched to you via Special Delivery and a signature will be required. Royal Mail will email you with updates on your delivery, so you can track its whereabouts and when you should expect it to be delivered.
Be sure to provide us with a mobile number when you place your order to receive free SMS updates from Royal Mail.
£15 charge for Special delivery by 1pm once dispatched. This fees covers the cost of the device should something happen in transit.
